Step 2: Forward your calls. Two minutes, keep your number.
Calls ring you first. If you can’t answer, your AI receptionist picks up, books the job and texts you a summary.
- Find your forwarding number. We text it to you within 48 hours of your setup details (it’s a local number).
- Dial the code on your mobile — replace NUMBER with your forwarding number, e.g.
**004*7805550199#— and press call. You’ll see “forwarding activated”. - Test it: call your business number from another phone and let it ring. The AI should answer, and you’ll get a summary text.
Mobile phones (Rogers, Bell, Telus, Fido, Koodo, Virgin, Freedom, Chatr, Public, Lucky)
These standard codes work on most Canadian and US mobile networks. Dial them like a phone number and press call.

##004###21#*#61# · *#67# · *#62#iPhone and Android settings
- iPhone: Settings → Phone → Call Forwarding forwards every call. For missed calls only, use the codes above instead.
- Android: Phone app → ⋮ → Settings → Calls / Supplementary services → Call forwarding → choose “When unanswered”, “When busy” and “When unreachable”, and enter your forwarding number.
Landlines (Bell, Telus, Shaw/Rogers home phone)
- Forward all calls: lift the receiver, dial
*72, then your forwarding number. Cancel with*73. - Busy / no-answer forwarding usually needs to be switched on by your provider — call them and ask for “call forward busy and no answer” to your forwarding number.
Business VoIP (RingCentral, Ooma, 8x8, Grasshopper, Google Voice, Teams Phone)
Open your call-handling or “answering rules” settings and add your AI receptionist number as the destination for missed, busy or after-hours calls. Most systems let you set the number of rings first. Send us a screenshot if you’d like us to check it.

Call forwarding questions
Do I keep my business number?
Yes. Customers keep calling the same number. Forwarding only decides where calls go when you don’t pick up.
Does call forwarding cost extra?
Most Canadian plans include conditional call forwarding, but some carriers charge per minute for forwarded calls or need the feature turned on. If a code says “not available”, call your carrier and ask them to enable conditional call forwarding.
How many seconds before the AI picks up?
Usually about 20–30 seconds (4–5 rings). On many networks you can choose: dial **61*NUMBER*11*20# for 20 seconds (5 to 30 in steps of 5).
Can I turn it off at night or on weekends?
Yes. Use the “every call” code when you want the AI to answer everything, and cancel it (##21#) when you’re back.
What if I use a landline or a VoIP system?
See the landline and VoIP sections above — the setting is usually called “call forwarding on no answer” or “busy/no-answer forwarding”.
