1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to aethely.com (the "Site"), operated by Aethely, based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and serving customers across Canada. It describes how we handle personal information collected through the Site, in line with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where applicable, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

2. Information our contact form collects

When you submit the contact form on this Site, we collect:

• Your name
• Email address
• Phone number (optional)
• Business name (optional)
• The service you're asking about
• Any message or details you choose to write

We collect this information only because you chose to submit it, in order to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and — if you go ahead — deliver the service you've asked for. We don't require an account, and we don't collect payment card details through this Site.

3. How your submission is transmitted and stored

When you submit the contact form, it is sent by email using Brevo, a third-party email delivery service, to Aethely's inbox. This Site itself is hosted on Vercel. Depending on where Brevo and Vercel route and process data, your information may be transmitted through, or temporarily stored on, servers located outside Canada (for example, in the United States or the European Union). Both providers are contractually bound to their own privacy and security standards; we encourage you to review Brevo's and Vercel's privacy policies if you'd like more detail on how they handle data in transit.

4. Cookies, analytics, and advertising pixels

This Site may use cookies and similar technologies for basic analytics (to understand overall traffic patterns) and, as we roll out paid advertising, for Google Ads and Meta (Facebook) conversion tracking pixels. These pixels help us understand which ads led to a visit or enquiry, and may allow Google or Meta to show you relevant ads elsewhere based on your visit here. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and where required, we will display a cookie notice allowing you to opt out of non-essential cookies.

5. How we use your information

We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry, provide a quote, deliver services you request, and — only if you've separately opted in — send you marketing updates. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

6. CASL — email & marketing consent

In line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), submitting the contact form only results in us responding to your specific enquiry — it does not sign you up for marketing emails. We will only send you promotional or marketing messages if you separately and explicitly opt in, and every such message will include a way to unsubscribe.

7. How long we keep your information

We retain contact form submissions and related correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry and to maintain business and tax records (typically up to 7 years for anything tied to an invoice or payment, per standard Canadian recordkeeping practice), after which it is deleted or anonymized.

8. Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or request deletion (subject to any legal or tax recordkeeping obligations we must still meet), by emailing us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example as we add new analytics or advertising tools. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent version.
