Free local SEO check. Results in seconds.

Your Google score, how you compare with competitors, and what to fix first.

How to read your local SEO score

Your score combines four things Google looks at when deciding who shows up for “near me” searches: your Google Business Profile, how you stack up against nearby competitors, how fast your website loads on a phone, and whether your homepage gives Google the basic signals it needs. Each check is weighted by how much it tends to matter for a local business, then rolled into a score out of 100 and a letter grade.

Google Business Profile

This is usually the biggest factor. We check your rating, number of reviews, opening hours, website link, phone number, photos and whether your listing is active. Reviews carry the most weight — Google has said that review count and score factor into local ranking, and customers compare them before they call. If you have fewer than ten reviews, the fastest win is a simple routine of asking every customer with a direct review link. Our free review link and QR generator makes that a 30-second job.

Competitors

We search Google for your category in your city — “dentist in Edmonton”, “plumber in Calgary” — and find where you appear in the top 20. Then we compare your reviews and rating with the top three. If they have several times more reviews, that gap is often the main thing standing between you and the map pack. The good news: it’s fixable with consistency over a few months.

Website speed

We run Google’s own PageSpeed test on your homepage in mobile mode. A score under 50 means many visitors are waiting several seconds before they see anything — and plenty will leave. Large images, heavy page builders and slow hosting are the usual culprits. The “main content loads in” number (Largest Contentful Paint) should be under 2.5 seconds.

On-page SEO

We read your homepage the way a search engine does. Does it have a clear page title and description? One main heading? Does it mention your city? Is a phone number visible? Is there LocalBusiness structured data, so Google can confirm your name, address and phone? We also check HTTPS, the mobile viewport tag, image alt text and broken links. Each of these is a small signal on its own, but together they help Google trust that your website and your Google listing describe the same real business.

NAP consistency

NAP stands for name, address and phone. If your website shows a different phone number or business name from your Google listing, it creates doubt — for Google and for customers. Make them match exactly, everywhere.
